Sazerac Featuring Northern Eyes Whisky

Original Hansen Recipe

Ingredients

– 1.5 oz Northern Eyes 5 Year Whisky

– 1.5 oz Hennessey

– Barspoon rich Demerara syrup

– 2 dashes Angostura bitters

– 3 dashes Peychaud’s bitters

– Absinthe-rinsed, chilled rocks glass

– Lemon peel to garnish

Method

1. Add whisky, cognac, syrup, and bitters to a mixing glass. Stir with ice.

2. Rinse a chilled rocks glass with absinthe of choice.

3. Strain concoction into the chilled/rinsed glass.

4. Express lemon peel on glass and drop in for garnish.
