Big news on the operations side: Hansen Distillery has officially upgraded its liquor licence to a Manufacturer’s Taproom Licence.
The upgrade gives us added flexibility in how we run both the distillery and the hospitality side of the business. The headline change: minors are now permitted in the taproom, as long as they’re accompanied by a parent, guardian, or adult spouse. To be clear, minors are still not permitted to work in the taproom — this change is about who can visit, not who can work behind the bar.
On the food side, nothing changes. We already meet the food service requirements under the new licence, so guests shouldn’t notice any operational difference there.
In short: the taproom just got a little more welcoming for families, without changing what makes it feel like Hansen.
Come pull up a stool — kids included, as long as mom, dad, or a guardian is at the table.
